Deepfake Danger: How manipulated videos could impact democracy


Deepfakes, manipulated videos using artificial intelligence, seem to be popping up everywhere. Now the House Intelligence Committee plans to examine the risks of those videos. But are deepfakes really new or are we just now paying attention? Mary Anne Franks, a law professor at the University of Miami and head of the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, talks about the overlooked victims of deepfakes.
